National TV Channels go GaGa over RaGa

ONI Bureau: The mainstream TV channels in India are going crazy over Congress President Rahul Gandhi, by focusing more on his activities as well as attire, food etc. The trend continued on the last day of campaigning too.

It was Times Now, who first attacked Rahul Gandhi (RaGa), saying they were not invited to his much-publicized press meet in Ahmedabad. They were later called in, but were not allowed to ask questions. That was the talking poit on Times Now throughout the day.

Soon after the presser, ‘Republic TV’ had two announcements – ‘Most Bizarre presser’ and ‘Rahul gets Nervous’. They also added ‘Rahul got up twice’ and ‘Rahul gives wrong answers’.

Republic later went ahead with its “investigative journalism” and showed how Rahul Gandhi was given notes by senior Congress leaders, including Ashok Gehlot during the press meet. The ‘Chit Gate’ debate will be hosted by Arnab Goswami later tonight.

India Today TV did not go against Rahul Gandhi, but focused on what he wore today. And, they finally got one – Rudraksha. ‘Yes, Rahul wears Rudraksha’, was their discovery! Other TV Channels exercised restraint, much to the relief of their viewers.
