After a brief lull, Pakistan has resorted to heavy shelling on Saturday, killing two Army jawans and one woman dead on the LoC. At least 11 people were injured when the Pakistan troops targeted villages and security outposts in Jammu & Kashmir.
Over 1,000 people in border areas fled from their homes. The two jawans were killed when Pakistani forces fired rocket-propelled grenades at a border outpost of the 5/5 Garhwal regiment in Tangdhar area of North Kashmir.
Three Pakistani Rangers were reportedly killed in retaliatory firing. Meanwhile, Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif warned India, saying, “If India doesn’t understand the language of goodwill, we are fully capable using a language they do understand”.
The BSF sources confirmed that Pakistan is trying to facilitate the entry of around 150 armed militants who are ready to sneak into India. Thus, the Pak Army has resorted to unprovoked firing.
