PM Modi hails People Power during 12th Edition of Mann Ki Baat

Modi-Mann-Ki-BaatPrime Minister Narendra Modi has praised “people power” by saying that his appeals to promote khadi and to give up cooking gas subsidy had fetched tremendous response. In his Mann ki Baat radio address, which has completed 12 editions, Modi said he had learnt the power and reach of democracy through his monthly address.

* Mann ki Baat has taught me a lot, about the strength that lies in the hands of the common people to bring changes in society.

* 30 Lakh people have given up LPG Subsidy. They include lower middle class. This is a Silent Revolution.

* There is a message from Pawan Acharya, Alwar. Lighten Earthen Diya in Diwali. That’ll help Environment and Poor.

* Buy Khadi and Handloom during all festivals. Not asking to use Khadi always, but give it some space at home.

* I am going to host more than 50 members of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s family in October. They’re coming from various countries.

* ‘Selfie with daughter’ had fetched a huge response. The daughter got so much pride. This was like a silent revolution.

* I urge youth to register as voters and go out to vote when the time comes. I want to congratulate the Election Commission. Earlier it was a regulator, now it is facilitator and has become voter friendly.
