Police Booked Two AAP MLAs for Clash with Cops

MLAs of AAP – Sanjiv Jha and Akhilesh TripathiPolice registered case against two Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs for rioting and creating ruckus at Burari police station on Friday night. Police booked two MLAs of the party – Sanjiv Jha and Akhilesh Tripathi.

At least 15 including nine cops were injured in the violent clash with police at Burari police station. Two MLAs of AAP – Sanjiv Jha and Akhilesh Tripathi with supporters rushed police station and started pelting stones   on the police station alleging police inaction in a molestation case on last night.

Police booked the duo leaders of AAP and their supporters for inciting violence, rioting and obstructing police from discharging their duties. Police so far arrested six people in this connection. AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha alleged that police misbehaved with them at gunpoint, man-handled their supporters.

Madhur Verma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said, “without any provocation stones were pelted at the policemen and nine cops were hurt. Peoper action will be taken the culprits.”
