Rahul Gandhi joins Twitter with @OfficeOfRG Handle

Congress Vice President finally responded to the calls of millions of his partymen and joined the social networking site Twitter yesterday. Rahul made the Twitter debut with the handle @OfficeOfRG (Office Of RG) Wednesday evening. He has got over 13,000 followers so far. Since the account mentions his office, his trusted aides may handle the tweets and replies in future.

The Twitter account is yet to be verified, as it was launched launched only on yesterday. But, all formalities will be completed soon and the account will have the ‘Verified’ badge, revealed some Congress leaders who are aware of the development.

Rahul, who has been criticised for not having Twitter or Facebook accounts, is expected to make a big buzz on social media sites. He has become very active in the political arena following his return from a 59-day sabbatical. Of late, he has raised the issues of farmers, mazdoors and home buyers.
