Putting all rumours and speculations into rest, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has finally returned to India, by ending his two-month-long mysterious absence. Nobody got to know where he stayed and why he took so long to make public appearance. Some said he was into sabbatical leave, while some others termed it as a holiday. PTI reports suggested that Rahul arrived in New Delhi from Bangkok.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi’s sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and many other close members of Gandhi family were present at Rahul Gandhi’s residence at 12, Tughlaq Road to welcome him. Rahul Gandhi is expected to meet key Congress leaders soon.
Rahul will address a ‘kisan-mazdoor’ (farmer-worker) rally in Delhi. He is expected to lead the Congress from that platform and try to reach out to the people of the country with a pro-farmer agenda. Prior to the rally, he is likely to meet farmers’ leaders on Friday.
