Supreme Court transfers Vyapam Cases to CBI, praises MP Govt

After the Centre and Madhya Pradesh Government gave their consent, the Supreme Court has transferred all cases related to Vyapam Scam to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The SC had sought CBI’s repsonse on this matter. The investigating agency readily agreed, which helped the cause. The CBI will also probe the deaths related to Vyapam.

The court also appreciated the stand taken by the Madhya Pradesh Government on this matter, saying it has done a good job so far in this case. The apex court will decide on the issue of court monitoring on July 25 after receiving a report from the CBI by July 24.

Earlier, the SC had issued notices to Centre, Madhya Pradesh Government and Governor Ram Naresh Yadav, seeking their response on the issue of questioning of the Governor in connection with the Vyapam scam.
