The song presents the realistic stories of four diverse characters, in the quest of realizing their hopes and ambitions. All of them have got one thing in common: their passion, their desire to follow their respective aspirations. The lyrics emphasizes their belief of living in the moment and their will to embark on a path, which is uncertain, full of risk, yet full of dreams. Interestingly, the story of Biswanath Rath, the writer-director of the video is also a story full of passion and dreams. An NIT Warangal alumnus, Biswanath has always followed his heart and taken a path less travelled and full of challenges; writing and filmmaking. The passionate Writer, Lyricist, Editor, Director who hails from Jeypore (Odisha) and his wife Archana Rath have founded ‘BnR Films’, a Chennai based award winning film Production Company.

All the short films, produced by the company have received multiple awards and official screenings in International Film Festivals, bringing glory not just to the company but also to the people of Odisha. While it’s first short film ‘Kar Bhalaa’ (Hindi-Tamil)had received 2 Awards and 12 Official screenings, it’s recent social ad-film ‘The ‘Right’ Glass’ (silent) has already received 2 awards and 4 Official screenings (including Official Selection in Jagran Film Festival, India’s biggest Film Festival) within just 4 months of its premiere. It has got presence in Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Kochi, Guwahati and Pune. However what makes ‘Feel The Passion’ truly special is, this is Biswanath’s debut Music Video. However the director differs. He says, “What makes the video special is the fact that the story portrayed in the video is no different from the inspiring stories of each of its cast and crew. Being an NITian myself, I was inspired to know the real-life story of IITian Ashutosh Upadhyay, who is a one-man-army; Music Composer, Singer, Lyricist and Founder of Purplehed, the company which has produced this album.

Not just that, choreBiswanath Rath-Odia-Director-1ographers Anurag Upadhyay (an NIT Warangal alumnus) and Krupa Shah’s hard work, determination and obsession for perfection are again stories in themselves. Miss India Universe 2012 is another big inspiration for anyone who wants to follow his/her heart. Dancers Imran Shaikh, Ashish Mathur, Inayat Ali and Jitendra Chaubey come from Mumbai’s Dharavi area, but can enthrall anyone with their amazing Capoeria and B-Boying performances. As a writer/director, I have done nothing other than giving these real stories a reel form.

This music video was our first project in Mumbai and we thoroughly enjoyed making it in spite of all the difficulties/challenges. If the audience are able to connect to the soul of this video, that’s because of the honesty with which the entire team has worked in last one year to bring out nothing but the best. Last but not the least, Jackson Garg, the guy who has done the post production work for this video is again an IIT Alumnus and thus an inspiration for all IITians/NITians who aim for filmmaking.’’

When contacted Purplehed team commented, “After discovering that our father could not pursue his songwriting dream, we (Ashutosh and Anurag) decided to make the dream our own. While working on jobs, setting up ventures, learning to innovate and travelling around, we lived our passions – music and dance. And when we felt ready, Purplehed was conceived.” “Feel the passion” conveys that listening to one’s heart is the ultimate bliss. Moving forward, BnR Films aims to make films with global appeal based on Indian cultures and traditions in general, Odia culture in specific. Presently the first feature script by the company is under development.
