Sona Mohapatra sings ‘Rangabati’ in Unique Style at MTV Coke Studio

Odia girl, Sona Mohapatra, who has been staying outside the state for long, has created a big buzz in the music world. She has established herself on her own right and might. However, she has not forgotten the Odia culture. Her latest tribute to Odisha is the ‘Rangabati’ song, which he performed at the MTV Coke Studio along with ‘India’s Rawstar’ Rituraj Mohanty and Ram Sampath.

The ‘Rangabati’ song was mixed with ‘Vande Utkal Janani’ by Music Director Ram Sampath. While Sona bewitched the audience with ‘Rangabati’, Rituraj sang ‘Vande Utkal Janani’ to make them emotional. Rajesh and Tony did their part with the Tamil rap, which also went well with the viewers.

Sona Mohapatra, who was born in Cuttack on 17th June, 1976, had completed her B.Tech from College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Bhubaneswar in Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering. She did her MBA from Symbiosis Centre for Management & HRD, Pune in marketing & Systems, and later worked as the brand manager in Marico.

She is a Singer, Music Composer and Lyricist and performed in concerts across the globe and has been featured in albums, webcasts, music videos, Bollywood films and advertisements. Sona, who is 5’10” tall and gives complex to many guys, is married to Ram Sampath.
