70 Students participate in Children’s Art Camp on ‘Swachh Bharat’
Bhubaneswar, Oct 14: Children’s Art Camp with the theme of “Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat” was organised at Railway Station here on Tuesday. The event was organised by Bakul Foundation in association with East Cost Railways, Khurdha division.
As per the theme, 70 students from 11 schools and artists painted on the long wall near the 6th platform of the station. The motto of the event was to create awareness about ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ initiated by the Prime Minister of India on Gandhi Jayanti in 2014.
The event was inaugurated by S K Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, East Coast Railways. Artist Satyabhama Majhi felicitated the volunteers on behalf of Bakul Foundation.
SK Singh said, “It is very good initiative involving schools students to paint the stretch thereby showcasing the vision of a clean India.”
Archana Singh, President of ECORRWO, Khurdha Division; Lt. Col. S K Choudhury, ADRM, Khurdha Division; Sujit Mahapatra, Secretary, Bakul Foundation and other officers were present on the occasion.
