Acrux Showcase Odisha Awards 2014 held on Dec 25
The 3rd edition of the pioneering & prestigious award function ‘Acrux Showcase Odisha Awards’ was held at the New Marrion on (Thursday) 25th Dec’14 by Prelude, a premier media, Communication & Events Company of the state. Seven iconic Odia personalities were felicitated with the prestigious award for their contribution towards bringing National and International recognition for themselves as well as for the State & Nation.
The Awardees of SOA 2014 were:
• P.K Mohapatra (IAS) – “Global Leader Administration” for his outstanding disaster management, said while accepting the award – “It is always team work that comes to rescue during crisis and emergencies. It makes the job easier.”
• Rituraj Mohanty – “Global Icon Music” said -“I had heard about Showcase Odisha Awards from Sona Mohapatra and today I have witnessed the grandeur of this award ceremony”.
• Yash Pattanaik – “Global Icon Entertainment” -“The kind of potential and talent we have, if it is channelized in the right direction, Odisha can give tough competition to any other state in the country”.
• Pitobash Tripathy – “Global Icon Films awards” – “If I can make itto Bollywood and Hollywood, anyone from among the youth in Odisha can. You can too.”
• Ileanna Citaristi – “Global Leader Art & Culture” – “Odisha has given me much more than hospitality. For me, all the people of Odisha are my family.”
• Dutee Chand – “Global Icon Sports” – “I only think about bringing laurels for my country, and that is the only feeling that inspires me all the time.”
• Anjan Chatarjee – “Global Icon Business” – “I am a Cuttacki Odia. I have 5000 people working in my restaurants of which 2800 are Odias. And yes,we are coming up with one more restaurant in BBSR soon”.
Apart from this, an art sequence of the story of Konark, the theme song of Showcase Odisha and a dance sequence by Harihar Dash & team entertained the crowd through their energetic performances.
Sharing his thought behind the event, Mr. Satyabrat Rath stated, “Showcase Odisha Awards was instituted with a commitment to salute, felicitate and acknowledge the success stories and the heroes from Odisha who have excelled in their respective fields and have made themselves, their families, the state and the country proud by their achievements. And today we are happy to present its 3rd edition successfully. Our initiative is growing in stature with every edition which might not be possible without the committed support of all of you people especially the Media and the Sponsors and the entire Showcase Odisha team”.
State President BJP K.V. Singhdeo, Renowned Sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik, Editor Indian Express, Srimoy Kar, Entrepreneurs Sunjoy Hans, Navin Kandoi, Mr. Debashis Pattnaik, Film personalities Kuna Tripathy, Akshay Parija, IPS officers Mr. Satyajit Mohanty, Pradip Kapoor along with many others from the media, corporate, administration and entertainment industry were present to salute the Icons and celebrate their success.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramesh Swain, MD, Acrux Realcon (title sponsor of the event) stated, “We, the whole Acrux family feel privileged to honour these real heroes of our beloved state”. We congratulate all the award winners and are very much thankful to everybody who was present in the event to make it a huge success, he further added.
