AMRI Hospital imparts Basic Life Support and First-Aid Training to Cops
Bhubaneswar, 10th June, 2015: AMRI Hospital, Bhubaneswar a Super Specialty Hospital from AMRI Hospitals Ltd, one of the largest and fastest growing hospital chain in Eastern India had organized a basic Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid training for the police personnel of Odisha. The training session was inaugurated by Shri Gokul Chandra Pati, Chief Secretary to Govt. of Odisha, where more than 70 Police personnel of the State had joined the training programme.
This innovative timely programme, witnessed the presence of Shri Sanjeev Marik, IPS, DG & IG of Police, Dr.Rajendra Prasad Sharma, IPS, Commissioner of Police and Mr. Satyajit Mohanty, IPS, Addl. DG Police Head Quarters, Cuttack, Odisha.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Gokul Chandra Pati, hon’ble Chief Secretary of Odisha said, Road accidents being a major concern in the state, I appreciate the efforts of AMRI Hospitals in organizing the BLS and First Aid training programme for the police personnel an believe that this initiative will be of great benefit to the trauma victims before they are shifted to the hospital.
He further added that the preventive aspects of the road accidents should also be discussed during training programme”. “The opening of the Blood Bank in the hospital is yet another step towards ensuring better emergency service to the patients, said Mr. Pati.
