Bhubaneswar Mayor flags off ‘Female Foeticide’ Awareness Campaign
Bhubaneswar, Sep 14: Female foeticide is a sinful activity going on Indian society. To create an awareness among people and to uproot this from our society “Art of living has organized a nationwide Motorcycle rally. It will continue for 45 days and cover approximately 10000 kilometers.
This rally was flagged off jointly by Mr Anant Narayan Jena, Mayor, BMC, Bhubaneswar and Mr Niten Chandra, IAS, Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Odisha from Kalinga Stadium, here at 7 AM on today. Amidst much enthusiasm and encouragement in the presence of Mrs Risika Ratan Sahoo and Dr. Niharika Mohapatra the state and Bhubaneswar coordinator of AOL, Women’s club and many other AOL teachers and volunteers of Bhubaneswar the rally had started .
The rally will be passed through as many as 6 districts of Odisha before entering into Chattishgarh. The rally aims at reaching India Gate, New Delhi on the 22nd September and be back to International Ashram of AOL at Bangalore on 2nd October, Gandhi Jayanti.
