Bhubaneswar Mayor inaugurates Final Project Sharing Workshop

Bhubaneswar, Dec 31: City based voluntary organization named Center for Child and Women Development (CCWD) with the support of Practical Action & Bernard Van Leer Foundation organized a Final Project Sharing Workshop under safe and healthy environment for the children of informal waste workers here at HHI Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

The workshop inaugurated by Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena. Lightening the lamp Shri Jena gave a clarion call that everybody should work for the promotion and protection of healthy environment. Among others Deputy Mayor K.Shanti, Padmini Buxi CDPO, Mahendra parida General secretary of AICCTU, Dr. Birupakshya Dixit, Programme coordinator Practical Action & Programme Manager Rashmi Patel  spokes on this occasion.

The objective and achievement of the project were shared by Sadasiv Swain secretary of CCWD. Lastly Mamata Singh proposed a warm vote of thanks to all. Notable that CCWD Implemented the project in seven slum pockets  under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation since last 2014 with four objectives like-increased access to education, improved learning demonstrated among IWW children, reduced occupational Safety Health Risks of IWWs and their families, increased family income of IWWs and  dissemination of good practices.
