BPI Airport, Bhubaneswar to organize Art Exhibition on Oct 22

Bhubaneswar, Oct 21:  Airport Authority of India (AAI) will organize an Art Exhibition -The Chain of Being VAHAHNS – at the Art Gallery, Public concourse Area of Domestic Terminal Building (T-2), B P I Airport on October 22. Paintings and sculpture by artists Sovan Kumar and Helen Brahma will be displayed in the exhibition. The officials informed in a statement issued here.

In an effort to encourage and promote Amateur/Budding Artists, Airports Authority of India, has developed an Art Gallery in the public concourse area of New Domestic Terminal (T1), BPI Airport, Bhubaneswar, a platform to facilitate the budding artists to exhibit their creations/artwork and make a reasonably significant mark in the Art world. The Art gallery was inaugurated by R.K. Srivastava, Chairman, AAI .

To make a reasonably significant mark in the Art World,  AAI invited original creations including sculpture or any other form of Art but not limited to paintings, for display inside the terminal building. The artist shall have a right to put a tag “for sale” and the Art work shall carry price tag fixed on it. It is understood that this step taken by AAI will help create vocation and much anticipated prominence to the local talent.
