CCWD, NIDI organise seminar on ‘Sustainable and Equitable Bhubaneswar City’

Peoples participation is most essential to build Sustainable and Equitable Bhubaneswar CityBhubaneswar, Nov 18: A two days seminar on Sustainable and Equitable Bhubaneswar City organised by voluntary organizations named Centre for child and women development (CCWD) & NIDI, Bhubaneswar in association with Action aid at Hotel Sungreen here on Monday.

The programme inaugurated by freedom fighter Bhabani Charan Pattanaik. Focusing towards sustainable and equitable city Pattanaik reflected on rural pockets development & people’s participation is most essential.  The seminar  based on  environment, climate change, road & transportation, water, sanitation, traffic control,  protection of women, children and  senior citizen etc.

Among others former finance minister of Odisha Panchanan Kanungo, Prof. S. N. Patra, Nadia Chand Kanungo,  Karunakar Pattanayak (Retd IAS), Public relation officer of BDA  Madhumita Rath, former information commissioner  Prof Radha Mohan,  Kirti Saha, Praffula Dhal, Pritha Chatarji & Aurobindo Behera (Retd IAS) spoke on this occasion.  

The objective of the people’s vision of the city address by Ghasiram Panda, programme manager of action aid. Lastly Er. Dillip Sahu proposed a warm vote of thanks to all. The programme coordinated by Ranjan Rout Director of NIDI & Sadasiv Swain Secretary of CCWD. More than one hundred participant from the different background participated in this seminar.
