CET, Bhubaneswar conducts Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp

CET1Bhubaneswar: The College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar conducted a DST-NIMAT Project: Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) supported by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmadabad from 11th to 13th of September.

The EAC aims to promote entrepreneurship as a career option among students and provide them an insight into various business opportunities in manufacturing, trading, and service sector. The participants students got opportunities to interact with experts and also get a host of business opportunities under one roof.

The EDI is an autonomous and non-profit institute set up in 1983, which aims to become a catalyst in facilitating emergence of new generation entrepreneurs and transition of existing SMEs into growth-oriented enterprises through entrepreneurship education, training, research and institution building.

The DST-NIMAT (Department of Science and Technology-National Implementing and Monitoring Agency for Training) under EDI, which conducts and moderates numerous activities across various states in the country like the EACs, EDPs, WEDPs, TEDPs and FDPs.

Addressing the workshop, Mr. Col Ashit Mohapatra (Founding Member- Milk Mantra) told how agribusiness should be improvised and and the aspects of it. Mr. Ronak Samantray (Co-Founder, NowFloats) spoke about his own technological experience in entrepreneurship, idea evaluation, market evaluation and trend of technological future.

CET2Mr. C.R.Patanaik (Eastern Region Coordinator – EDI, India) focused on why entrepreneurship needed and what would be the necessity for the all-round development of the country. Mr. Shibasis Mohapatra (TIE, Bhubaneswar) said about the opportunity and expectation of investors and VCs . Lingaraj Sethi (Co-founder Cyberdine Digitals) said that how entrepreneurs change the face of the economy.

Appreciating the grand success of the occasion, the Principal Prof. (Dr) P.K.Patra and Professor in Charge Dr. P.K.Parida said that the event  not only enlightened the students about entrepreneurship and it’s various aspects but also opened a new career path for them  which  would benefit them in numerous ways in their future. They also said  that interaction with these people of high stature would help the students beyond imagination.

Students’ Coordinators Amlan, Ashirvad, Chinmay, and Trishala (ED Cell- CET) managed the entire camp.
