Czech Republic Confers Civilian Award on Achyuta Samanta

Czech Republic conferred prestigious civilian award ‘Silver Medal’ on Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT & KISS. J. Mládek, Industry & Trade Minister of Czech Republic conferred the award on Dr. Achyuta Samanta in presence of Vladimír Bärtl, Deputy Minister of Czech and M. Stašek, Ambassador of Czech Republic to India in a grand function held at Czech Embassy in New Delhi on January 28, 2015.

The Govt. of Czech Republic conferred Silver Medal on Dr. Samanta for his remarkable work in social service. Expressing happiness, Dr. Achyuta Samanta said “I am indebted to the Govt. of Czech Republic and its citizens for the honour.” He dedicated this prestigious award to KISS. It is matter of pride for Odisha and its people that a person from the state has got this prestigious civilian award from a European country, said eminent Odia personalities present on the occasion. It is not a small thing to get a civilian award from a European country, they added. Among others, more than 300 renowned persons from Czech and India were present at the function. Eminent dancer Sujata Mohapatra performed Odishi dance.
