IMFA spearheads MDD Awareness Campaign in Rayagada

Imfa spearheads MDD Campaign In Its PeripheryRayagada, October 9: Responding to the MDD(Malaria, Dengue & Diarrhoea) campaign initiated by National Health Mission by Govt. of Odisha, as a responsible corporate, Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation under the aegis of Indian Metals, Ferromanganese and Alloys (IMFA), Ltd. situated at Therubali, Rayagada has shouldered the responsibility to take the MDD campaign forward in its periphery.

The recent MDD awareness campaign held at Govt High School campus at Therubali was inaugurated by Sri Rana Ranjan Mohanty, Sr.Manager, HR & Admn. He said that health awareness is the panacea to take care of  several preventive measures pertaining to various health problems. Dr.Rashmi Prabha Das of PHC, Kolnara explained in details the causes, symptoms and treatment patterns of Malaria, Dengue and Diarrhoea which are very common in the tribal areas of Rayagada. Smt  Subhashree Das, Block Extension Educator explained the stdents, teachers and parents about MDD lucidly through songs, stories and skits. She also appreciated the effort of the foundation which organised such a massive awareness on the eve of World Eyesight Day.

Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation, IMFA Therubali has spearheaded this MDD health awareness campaign in thirty three schools and the community staying around these schools by using different types of IEC materials apart from its other social activities on environment awareness, road safety, plantation and adolescence.

This programme was attended by Dr.P.K.Kar, Chief Medical Officer of IMFA and facilitated by Sri Shakti Prasad Panigrahi, Manager, PR. IMFA Ltd. Sri Surat batria, Headmaster of Govt High School at IMFA campus extended vote of thanks. Foundation’s and IMFA’s partnership with the Government and the local communities in sustaining these kind of initiatives has helped the public at large in this region.
