IMFA Vice President-Mining bags ‘Best Executive’ Award

On the occasion of 32nd Odisha Metalliferous Mines Safety Week Celebration 2014-15, Mr. Puranjay Behera, the Vice President-Mining at IMFA, was honoured with ‘Best Executive’ award among all participating mines companies in the Bhubaneswar region.

Annual Mines Safety Week of Bhubaneswar Region is being celebrated under the banner of Odisha Metalliferous Mines Safety Week Celebration Committee under the aegis of Directorate General of Mines Safety. This year’s safety week was observed during 10th November to 22nd November.

Concluding celebration of Odisha Metalliferous Mines Safety Week Celebration 2014-15 was held at the grounds of OMC Community Centre in Kaliapani on 7th December. The Chief Guest for the concluding function was Hon’ble MLA of Sukinda andd the Working President of SRCKMS Er. PR Ghadai. Other dignitaries present on the dais included, Mr. R. Subramanian – DMS, Bhubaneswar Region of DGMS and Chairman of OMMSWWCC, Mr. Arvind Kumar – DDMS, Bhubaneswar Region of GDMS and Vice Chairman of OMMSWCC, Mr. Anil Sureka-MD, M/s BAL, Mr. Jena, Head (HR&A), M/s Jindal and Mr. Goswami – Treasurer, OSMMSWCC 2014-15.

Mr. Puranjaya Behera has been serving Mining industry for the past 34 years, out of which 21 years in IMFA. Mr. Behera was earlier awarded ‘Paryavaran Bandhu’ award by IBM for his excellent contribution towards sustainable development for Environment protection in the year 2006-07.
