IMIS, Bhubaneswar organises 7th Grameen Mela ‘UMANG-2015’
Bhubaneswar, Dec 7: Institute of Management & Information Science (IMIS), Bhubaneswar organized its 7th Annual Grameen Mela ‘UMANG-2015’ at Banchhanidhi UP School, Turintira, Khurda on 5th & 6th December 2015.
UMANG was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. K. K. Beuria, Advisor IMIS; Sri Sashibhusan Patra, Chairman, Balipatna Panchayat Samiti and Smt. Anjanabala Sabut, Sarpanch, Turintira. Advisor Dr. K.K. Beuria gave the Welcome Address and expressed thanks to all the participating companies.
Total 34 companies participated in the Mela for two days displaying their products and services and creating consumer awareness amongst the villagers. The companies include Jyoti Motors, NABARD, Mahindra Tractors, TATA Motors, State Bank of India, LIC, New Holland, National Insurance, V-Guard, Crompton, Aditya Motors and many others.
There were cultural programmes for two days. Prizes and Trophies were awarded for different competitions organized amongst the school children. Other than this, Free Health check-up Camp was also organized for the all village people of that area. UMANG has created a brand name amongst the company to establish a link with the Rural areas of Bhubaneswar for last 7 years, said Prof. (Dr.) T. De, Co-ordinator of UMANG.
