IMS-Bhubaneswar organises Seminar on Customer Relationship Management

IMS-BhubaneswarBhubaneswar: Customer occupies the centre stage of business world and they play the role of a maker or breaker of trade development. They are the major source of revenue for business promotion.

Customer interaction across a range of channels, from e-mail to call centers, builds long term relationship between service providers and users, said senior lecture of IMBA Department of BJB Autonomous College Shrimoy Parichha here on Saturday.

Speaking at a seminar on ‘Customer Relationship Management’ organised by city-based Institute of Media Studies (IMS), Parichha stressed on the effective customer relationship management (CRM) which helps long-run survival of business and close monitoring of trade environment.

Later, its practice provides the scope of promoting the business by word of mouth advertising and results in more productivity and profit to the organizations, he added. Director of RGB Agro-tech Private Limited, Cuttack, Manoj Sharma said CRM helps the business establishment to take competitive advantage and create a strong group of loyal customers. It also provides the scope to keep constant track of customer’s changing preferences and reduce
the cost of advertising and sales promotion, he said.

Attending the seminar, relationship manger of HDFC Bank Ajit Kumar Rout cited several innovative initiatives of the bank in maintaining the relations with customers. Customer’s satisfaction and trust have significant contribution for any start-up business promotion and its development, he stressed. Among others, director of IMS Upendra Padhi, faculties and students of the institution were present.
