Inauguration of Kalinga Lancer’s Promotional Campaign in Bhubaneswar

lancerBhubaneswar, Dec 30: The promotional campaign for the state-based hockey team franchisee ‘Kalinga Lancers’ was inaugurated at IDCO Towers’ today, ahead of the Coal India Hockey India League due to begin from 18th January, 2016.

Canters designed to resemble Hockey Goal posts with the team’s branding were unveiled by Sanjay Kumar Singh, IAS, Managing Director, IDCO. These vehicles shall be part of a road show that shall roam around the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar to activate maximum audience engagement prior to the start of the league.

The road shows shall aim to generate maximum exposure on the ground level providing the team, IDCO-MCL and other stakeholders a base through which other promotional campaigns can be activated and target audience reached.

Kalinga Lancers have retained 6 players: the Indian troika of forwards Lalit Upadhyay, Devindar Sunil Walimiki and defender Gurjinder Singh, Australian National team goalkeeper Andrew Charter and defender Aran Zalewski, Indian national junior team’s defender and local hero Dipsan Tirkey.

National Player striker Dharamvir Singh and S K Uthappa have been purchased at this season’s auction. To promote state level hockey, three odia players Anand Lakra, Amit Rohidas and Stanli Victor Minz have also been purchased.

Germany’s Moritz Fuerste who drew the highest ever bid in the history of the tournament is most likely to captain the team.

Malak Singh, Pardeep Mor, Abhinav Kumar Pandey, England and Great Britain’s Adam Dixon, Netherlands’ Quirjlin Caspers, Australia’s Matthew Willis, Mathew Dawson and Glenn Turner form the rest of the team.
