Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha observes International Women’s Day

Indian Red Cross SocietyFamily Counselling Centre of Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch observed International Women’s Day at Raghunathpur Village, Bhubaneswar. The programme was held by involving local communities including Girls, Women, Leaders and Volunteers. The main objective of the programme is to show love and gratitude towards women in our society.

Dr. Chakradhar Panda, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. By addressing the participants, Dr. Panda said that we all should raise awareness about the struggles of women in the society and honour their achievements.

He advised the participants to avail the benefit of family counseling centre of IRCS-OSB. Sri Subash Chandra Patra, Vice-President of BJD, Smt Harapriya SamantaRay, Sub-Committee members of Family Counselling Centre, Sri Pradeep Sahoo, Sarapancha of Raghunathpur Village graced the occasions as the Guests of Honour.

The programme was coordinated by the Counsellors Miss Bijayalaxmi Kar & Miss Pritiprangya Dash. They discussed on various issues related to Familly Conselling including dowry victim, extra marital affairs, economic crisis, mentally illness and interference of in laws etc. The Programme was ended with a vote of thanks By Miss Bijayalaxmi Kar.
