KIIT Students participate in Indo-China Youth Exchange Programme

DSC_0466Bhubaneswar, Sep 15: Four students from KIIT University – Mr. Braja Kishore Mishra, Mr. Subham Garg, Mr. Sarthak Samal and Mr. Ipsit Utkarsh – were members of Indian youth delegation that visited China under International Youth Exchange Programme 2015. The programme seeks to promote mutual understanding of values and culture amongst the youth and to develop better relations between India and China.

The 200 member delegation, led by senior officials of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, visited places of cultural importance, leading companies and sports centres, and interacted with locals, entrepreneurs and youth of China. Alibaba, Supcon and Huawei were among the companies they visited. Upon their arrival in Beijing, a reception was hosted for them by His Excellency Mr. Ashok K. Kantha, Ambassador of India to China. Mr. Rajiv Gupta, Secretary of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and Mr. Gaurav Agarwal, Director were also present. The reception was followed by an interaction session in the Indian Embassy in which delegation was briefed about Indo-China relationship.

The delegation was welcomed in China by Mr. Wan Xuejun, Deputy President of All China Youth Federation. Students of KIIT University presented a tribal art memento to the Mr. Xuejun.

They visited important Chinese cities like Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Xian and Guangzhou. The delegation also visited various places of historical importance like The Forbidden City, The Temple of Heaven and The Great Wall of China.
