Modern OMFED Ice Cream Parlour inaugurated at Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar

Pradeep Maharathy, Hon’ble Minister, Agriculture and Fisheries & ARD, has inaugurated a modern ice-cream parlour of OMFED at Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar today. This modern ice-cream parlour has been constructed with a total cost of Rs 25 lakh to provide ice-cream and a range of milk & other products to the customers. MLA Bijoy Mohanty and BMC Mayor Anant Narayan Jena were present at the occasion.

The first such parlour was opened at Siripur near OUAT in February 2015, which has become a centre of attraction in that area. Within a short period of time, the parlour at Siripur has done a business of Rs.14.75 lakh till date.

Online sale of the products of OMFED was also launched by the Hon’ble Minister today. The service will be available for the inhabitants of Bhubaneswar city. By ordering online at omfed.in, the residents of the city can get milk, milk products, including horticulture products at their doorsteps, for which only a service charge of Rs.50 will have to be paid.

Encouraged with the great response, the Government have decided to support OMFED to open modern ice-cream parlours at 10 such locations. OMFED maintains the best quality in its products and will provide the same to the consumers at a competitive price. This endeavour will benefit the farmer- members of the organisation.
