NIPS bags 8th National Education Award 2014

NISP School of Hotel ManagementThe NIPS School of Hotel Management, Kolkata have received one the most prestigious awards, the ‘8th National Education Awards 2014’ for ‘Excellence in Hotel Management’.

The NIPS School of Hotel Management has received the award at a function organized by CMAI Association of India. The institute has consistently been among the top Hotel/Hospitality Management Institutes in the country, providing world class contemporary education in specific fields of the subject.

The Award was given by CMAI with Support from Ministry of ICT, Mauritius, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, Association of Indian Universities, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, and Ministry of MNRE, Govt. of India.

The honorable guests present at the award ceremony were Dr. Malcom Johnson, Dy. General Secretary (elect) United Nations, Director, International Telecommunication Union-Geneva, Arup Roy, Hon’ble Minister in Charge of Agriculture & Marketing, Government of West Bengal and Prof. Dr. R. K. Khandal, Vice Chancellor, UPT University.

Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Pathak, Director of NIPS said, It is a great achievement and honour that NIPS has won such a prestigious award at the 8th National Educational Award. This is the result of tremendous hard work and dedication of the students, faculty members and everyone associated with NIPS. We feel proud on acquiring such a position and this award recognizes our continuous endeavor in reaching high standards in the field of hospitality.”
