The newly-elected President of Odisha Natya Sangha, Manoj Pattanayak has been felicitated last night by former PCC President and veteran Congress leader Niranjan Patnaik and legendary Odia Singer Pranab Pattnaik at a function hosted by renowned Delhi-based Odia Journalist and Chief Coordinator of Aseema Odisha, Kishore Dwibedi in Bhubaneswar.
Among others renowned Singer Kasturi Pattnaik, Chief Mentor of Aseema Odisha Nihar Samantara, Aseema Odisha’s national President Khirod Kumar Jena and office-bearer D Singhdeo were present at the occasion.
“I was elected as the President of Odisha Natya Sangha on 14th August 2016. I feel honoured to occupy this post. For the last 40 years, there has been selections only. Elections were held for the first time and I got elected, which gives me immense pleasure”, said Manoj Pattanayak.
“Further, I swear on the name of Lord Jagannath that as long as I remain at the helm of affairs, I would work towards the development of Natya or Drama in Odisha with utmost dedication and sincerity and will leave no stones unturned to prevent any irregularities or corruption at Odisha Natya Sangha. The day I fail to discharge my duty, I will quit. This is my promise to people of Odisha”, said Manoj Pattanayak while talking to Odisha News Insight’s Editor Sagar Satapathy.
