Orissa Krushak Samaj observes World Food Day in Bhubaneswar

Odisha Krushak SamajBhubaneswar, Oct 16: Orissa  Krushak Samaj observed World Food Day on Friday here at Institute of Engineers. Dr. R S  Paroda, former  Secretary,  DG, ICRA graced the occasion as chief guest. Bishupada Sethi, IAS, Commissioners-cum-Secretary, Fisheries and ARD Department was the chief speaker.

Dr. Khageswar Pradhan, former VC, OUAT, Sarat Chandra Bhadra, Economist and Chief finance Advisor; Guru Prasad Mohanty, Advocate Orissa High Court; graced the occasion as guest of honour.

Guests offered floral tributes to Lard Balabhadra statue and inaugurated the function by lightening the lamp. In the begging of the session, members paid tributes to former President of India Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Odisha,  J B Patnaik and Satya Mohapatra, former Vice Chairman of Orissa Krushak Samaj.

Chief Guest release a Souvenir on the occasion and welcome address given by Dr. P C Mohanty, Chairman of Orissa Krushak Shamaj. Speaking on the occasion, Bishupada Sethi focused on the agriculture development in Odisha. He said the state has been contributing a lot in the field of fishery by exporting to other countries.
