Paikanagar Welfare Association organises Plantation Drive

On the eve of Eid and Rath Yatra, Paikanagar Welfare Association organised a plantation programme on the vacant land , which was earlier encroached illegally by a builder. The plants were supported by Forestry Nursery on the occasion of Bana Mohotsava Week. 200 plants of different species were planted by the association members. It is here to mention that the said land after eviction of the builder with the initiative of the inhabitants, was lying vacant. No initiative had been taken by the administration till date.

So anticipating of further encroachment the inhabitants of the association took an initiative to develop it as a Women’s park. All members were present at the land and contributed for success of the plantation programme.
