Police Commissionerate organises ‘Road Run’ Marathon

On the eve of the celebration of the Commemoration Day of Police Commissionerate, an awareness marathon – ‘Road Run’ was organised on Sunday in the city. Road Run marathon was also organised in Cuttack by the Police Commissionerate the other day. In the marathon, around two thousand runners including women, school students, senior citizens and senior police officers participated.

The slogan of the marathon – Road Run was “Join Hands for Safety.”  The marathon was started at 7th Battalion ground and ended at Police Commissionerate Head Quarters building. Sanjeev Marik, IPS, Director General of Police, Odisha flagged up the event in the presence of  guests – Priyadarshi Mishra, MLA, Bijaya Kumar Mohanty, MLA, Sanjeev Dash, Director of IMFA and some popular film stars. On this occasion trophies and cash prizes were awarded to the winning participants by distinguished guests.
