orest Development Corporation Ltd (OFDC Ltd) today organised a workshop on “Prioritizing Sustainable Eco-tourism in Odisha” in association with Dept of tourism and Culture and Dept of Forest & Environment Dept., Odisha at Hotel Hindustan International in Bhubaneswar.
Eco-tourism has emerged as an environmentally responsible and sustainable tourism. The state of Odisha has great potential for Eco-tourism and the government is looking forward to make the state a popular tourist region.
The workshop is an initiative for strong commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism to natural areas which conserves the environment and improves the welfare of the local people inhabited in the target areas.
the workshop also intend to increase awareness about Eco-tourism amongst all the stake holders, which will be helpful in evolving appropriate strategies , promoting conservation of natural heritage and wilderness, educating the tourists etc.. SS Srivastava, PCCF (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden, Odisha graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
