Raas celebrates Fashion filled First Year
Raas, the high fashion handloom design studio and pioneer for its exquisite traditional designs is celebrating its 1st anniversary this week. In tune to the celebrations, Raas has now come up with the twin End of Season Sale and 1st Anniversary offer, showcasing the best of Odisha Ikat, to cater to the growing demand of Odisha handloom with modern touch.
The twin offer of End of Season Sale and Anniversary offer showcasing collections of designer wear for men & women started with the exhibition today and will continue till 28th February 2015. Raas presents a vintage line of contemporary designer ensembles which have been produced from traditional Odia weaving techniques of Ikat, Bomkai, Sambalpuri, Pasapalli and other weaving styles fused with latest fashions and design trends. The exhibition showcases the best of Odisha Ikat and a fresh collection of designer wear including selected Anarkali dresses, kurtis, sarees, lehengas, stoles, coats, shrugs, home furnishings and many more trendy designer products from Raas. The Exhibition is also showcasing Bangalore Fashion week collections of RAAS. The exhibition is open from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm.
Speaking on the first anniversary celebration of Raas design studio, Ms. Rashmi Mohapatra, founder patron of Raas says “We are continuously watching the trend and the needs of the customers and since we are in the business for last one year, we consider putting up a wonderful collection of Odisha handloom with modern touch weaved by highly skilled weavers from Odisha in our studio so as to serve well to the customers’ requirements and preferences”. The evolving trend and fashion thirsty customers will also find a unique opportunity to get personalised advice from internationally acclaimed fashion designer Pritam Panda on attires look dashing on them and make them standalone, added Ms. Mohapatra.
Ikat had never looked as it looks in these pieces, each designed and created in a very special way. Highly skilled weavers from Odisha weave for RAAS to designs given by Ms. Rashmi Mohapatra’s team of designers under the guidance of internationally acclaimed fashion designer Mr. Pritam Panda. The clothes are fabricated by designers specialized in high fashion garments. Raas exclusive designer Odisha handloom sarees, dresses etc. are truly exclusive as these have been made in single pieces
