RBI @ 80: Beyond Central Banking Exhibition in Bhubaneswar
With an aim to aware the people about various recent financial inclusions and their benefits Reserve Bank of India (RBI), today on the occasion of its 80th Foundation Day, has organized an Exclusive exhibition titled, “RBI @ 80: Beyond Central Banking”. Started on 1st April the exhibition will continue till 5th of this month which is scheduled to be opened 4-9pm for general public.
Conducted by Mr. Pradipta Kumar Jena, Regional Director, RBI the inaugural ceremony of the event was attended by Shree Gokul Chandra Pati, IAS, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Odisha (GoO) as Chief Guest. Shree Upendra Narayan Behera, Additional Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner, GoO, Shree Satish S K Kale, Chief General Manager, NABARD, BBSR and Shree Krushna Mohan Trivedi, Chief General Manager, SBI, Odisha were also present at the inaugural ceremony as Guests of Honor. Senior officials of various banks of Odisha participated in the exhibition.
It should be noted, the Reserve Bank of India has been continuously educating the general public about various financial subjects through regular communications. It has been sincerely playing its vital role towards Central Govt., various banks and the public as well. The snapshot of 80 years journey, role of RBI in lives of common man, interesting facts about currency note, demand of e-banking, awareness on fraud schemes for earning easy money and grievance redressal mechanism were the main attraction of the exhibition.
Apart from this, the exchange of old currency notes & coins and much important information related to insurance was also the center of attraction of the exhibition. The people can have many important ideas about their own financial management through this exhibition and can make their financial plan stronger and safe.
