Rotary Club, Bhubaneswar nominates President, Directors for 2015-16

Rotary Club of New Horizon, Bhubaneswar nominates President for 2015-16The installation of the President and board of directors of the Rotary Club of New Horizon, Bhubaneswar, the sole women’s Rotary Club in the RI district 3262 for 2015-16, was held in the auditorium of the Mother’s Public School at 6.30 PM on 23rd July.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri  Sibabrata Dash, RI District 3262 Director General for 2015-16 and Chief Guest for the occasion announced that the Rotary clubs in the district would be constructing 600 free toilets and upgrading around 400 schools to ‘happy schools’ by providing all amenities for a student friendly approach. He exhorted members to take up Rotary work as a vocation rather than a hobby.

Dr Minati Behera, State Commissioner for Physically Disabled, also spoke on the occasion and said that Rotary Club of New Horizon was the best platform for empowerment of ladies. She asked them to use their power to create a level playing field for the disabled so that they may be able to lead full lives and contribute to society.

Rotarian, Nalini Mohanty, President of New Horizon outlined the action plan for the year and promised to take up construction of 50 toilets in its adopted villages and slums and create four happy schools.

Bhabani Shankar Mishra, Assistant Governor, first lady, Rotarian Niharika Mishra, IPP, Rotarian Dr Shree Mishra and Secretary, Rotarian Dr Rita Adhikary also spoke on the occasion. Over 100 members including PDGs (Past District Governors,), RI District officials, & Rotary and Innerwheel Presidents & Secretaries attended the function.
