Seminar on “Awareness on Sportech” at KIIT University

A Seminar on “Awareness on Sportech” was conducted by School of Fashion Technology, KIIT University in association with Wool Research Association (WRA), Thane, Mumbai under Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India recently.  It was inaugurated by Dr. P.P. Mathur, Vice Chancellor KIIT University.  In his inaugural address Vice Chancellor highlighted the importance of sports and leisure wear in our day to day activities. The Seminar was started with welcome address by Dr. S.P. Mishra, Director, and School of Fashion Technology. Dr. M. Choudhary, Dy. Director, Head, COE, Sportech, Wool Research Association informed the importance of Sportech in the present scenario of modernization and globalization.

In addition to the students and staffs of the parent department, Students and staff from NIFT, Utkal University of Culture, OUAT, Swastik Institute of Professional Studies, Institute of Textile Technology Choudwar also attended the Seminar. Total 8 speakers put forward their contribution about different aspects of Sportech.  The students of Fashion Technology anchor the whole Seminar process.  In this Seminar, two papers were also presented by Dr. S.P. Mishra, Director and Mr.  B. Raula, Asso Professor. The information was given by Mr. A. Kumar, Asst. Professor and vote of thanks was given by Mr. S. Patnaik, Asso Professor, SFT.
