Shree Hospitals organizes Conference on Joint Replacement

A mega conference was organized by Shree Hospitals, Bhubaneswar in association with MCL doctors at Talcher. This Conference was held at Nehru Satabdi Central Hospital, Talcher premises & around 30 working doctors from different departments were present in the conference. This Conference was headed by Shree Hospitals Chairman & well known senior orthopedics & Join Replacement Dr. Ravi Shankar Katragadda. He spoke about ‘Advance Joint Replacement Surgery & Orthopedics Management’ and also he showed some latest videos of treatment done by him at Shree Hospitals.

Joint replacement surgery is removing a damaged joint and putting a new one. A joint is where two or more bones come together, like the knee, hip, and shoulder. It is also a procedure of orthopedic surgery in which an arthritic or dysfunctional join surface is replaced with an orthopedic prosthesis.

Joint replacement is considered as a treatment when severe joint pain or dysfunction is not alleviated by less-invasive therapies. Joint replacement surgery is becoming more common with knees and hips replaced most often. In this conference Dr.Manoj Kumar Hota (Chief Medical Services) of MCL was the chief guest and Dr. Sanjay Das was the Guest of Honour on this event.
