Soumya Memorial Trust organises Kuni Chitrakara-2015 in Bhubaneswar

Kuni ChitrakaraBhubaneswar (13/09/2015): Bhubaneswar-based non-profit organization “Soumya Memorial Trust” organized a painting competition for “Kuni Chitrakara” in and around Bhubaneswar on Sunday (13th Sept 2015) on “Our Birds & Animals”. Nearly 100 children from different schools’ participated in this competition in three different categories (Group A, B & C) at Odisha Modern Art Gallery, Bhubaneswar.

The Competition has been attended by children, aged between 5 – 15 years (Up to Standard 10th), their parents, teachers and mentors.  The contestants are estimated by a competent jury.

Soumya Memorial Trust will display these arts of these talented children at Odisha Modern Art Gallery of Bhubaneswar on 20th  Sept, 2015 (Sunday).  During this occasion the trust will award 9 “kuni chitrakar” & free Art Coaching to 3 Kuni Chitrakara for 1 long year at ‘Odisha Modern Art Gallery’ as told by Managing Trustee of SMT Saumya Parida. This year the best painting will get chance to be printed in Enigmatic India’s Coffee Mug.

Kuni Chitrakara-1Enigmatic India is a Organization which works for Wild life conservation in different ways. Like last year, this year also SMT will felicitate one Young & dynamic Artist. In this process this year Rajiv Dey will be felicitated for his outstanding interest & contribution in the field of Art Education.

Chairman of Soumya Memorial Trust Mr. Kanhu Charan Parida said that, “The main objective of the “Kuni chitrakar” competition is to identify the most gifted students, to increase the level of performance, to create conditions for the creative development of young kids, to preserve the unique Odia culture and traditions. This is the 4th year of Kuni Chitrakara. ” He further said that the trust will organize several such events in coming days for children to promote art and culture.
