SPIC MACAY organizes ‘Overnight Classical Concert’

Overnight Classical ConcertThe Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture ( SPIC MACAY ) organized the concluding ceremony of the ‘Overnight Classical Concert’ as part of Rural School Intensive (RSI) program on Saturday in Bhubaneswar.

The concert by SPIC MACAY was started on December 21, and on the concluding ceremony of the concert, the participants demonstrated what they had learnt during the program.

The RSI had continued till the Saturday with the most awaited overnight classical concert. It has started from 8:00 PM and continue till 6:30 AM of next day. Renowned artists like Vidushi Girija Devi, Dr N. Rajam, Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Pt. Tejendra Narayan Majumdar and Us. R. Wasifuddin Dagar had performed in the concert.

SPIC MACAY, the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture amongst Youth presents an opportunity to experience the inspiration and mysticism embodied in Indian heritage through its Rural School Intensive which began on December 21, 2014 and concluded on December 28, 2014. Around 400 students have participated in this unique program.
