Workshop on RTI Awareness held in Bhubaneswar

An RTI workshop was organised on Sunday at Pravujee English Medium School, Bhubaneswar by joint collaboration of Bhubaneswar DIPRO and Bharat Bikash Parishad to create awareness on RTI among young students, NGO workers and Senior citizens.

Inaugurating the workshop Collector, Khurda Sri Niranjan Sahoo elaborated on Right Application of RTI Act to get access to information at different levels of administration.

Kriya Yogi Sri Sankarnanda Giri, Chairman of the Pravujee School as Guest of Honour emphasized on making the elected representative of democracy and the administration to be more responsible in view of the RTI Act.

Chief Speaker Sri Pravat Giri, I.A.S. explained the details of the act to the participants for better use of RTI Act-2005 and hope that thesystem will be corruption free due to this weapon of Right to information.

Barada Prasanna Das, DIPRO, BBSR gave the introduction of the workshop insisting on making the public more aware about this important Act to implement their rights. Smt. Bijoyanandini Dube the Secy. and Dr.Binapani Sahoo Vice President of Bharat Bikash Parishad gave the welcome address and vote of thanks respectively.
