Massive Assembly Poll Victories in India since 1990

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) registered a landslide victory in Delhi by winning 67 out of 70 seats, which is around 95.71% of total number of seats. They have created history, as they made two major national parties bite the dust. The BJP lost the Opposition Status, while Congress drew blank. Here are some other famous assembly victories since 1990.

1990 – Janata Dal (Now BJD) won 123 out of 147 seats in Odisha (83.67%)
1991 – AIADMK+ won 225 out of 234 Seats in Tamil Nadu (96.15%)
1996 – DMK+ won 221 out of 234 seats in Tamil Nadu (94.4%)
2004 – Sikkim Democratic Front won 31 out of 32 Seats in Sikkim (96.87%)
2009 – Sikkim Democratic Front won all 32 Seats in Sikkim (100%)
2009 – Congress won 55 out of 60 seats in Arunachal Pradesh (91.66%)
2010 – BJP-JD(U) won 206 out of 243 seats in Bihar (84.77%)
2015 – AAP won 67 out of 70 seats in Delhi (95.71%).
