Govt announces Cash withdrawal norms for Farmers, Agri-Traders, Weddings

To ensure smooth supply of inputs to farmers, the Government on Thursday allowed farmers to withdraw up to Rs 25,000 per week against crop loans from their designated bank accounts.

Similarly, the registered agri-traders can withdraw Rs 50,000 per week from their bank accounts for a smooth procurement process.

A member of the family can withdraw up to Rs 250,000 for wedding preparation; one of the members must have PAN card details and will also prove an undertaking that no other member will withdraw such an amount for that purpose

Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das on Thursday informed it to the media persons.
