Odisha Assembly ratifies GST Constitutional Amendment Bill

The Assembly on Thursday ratified the 122nd Constitutional Amendment Bill (GST) in a special session, which was recently passed in both the Houses of Parliament.

CM Naveen Patnaik thanked all political parties for unanimous passing of GST Bill and  joining hands on GST.

Odisha has become the sixteenth State to clear the constitutional amendment Bill whereas Assam has become the first State to ratify the Amendment Bill relating to GST.

The GST Bill needs the approval of at least 15 States, and then President’s assent to become a law.
