Odisha Government hikes Bus fares in all categories

Insight Bureau: The State Government on Tuesday announced to increase bus fares in all categories across the State in view of the proposed strike by the Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association.

The fares will be effective from October 28, notified by the Commerce and Transport Department.

As per the new rates, the ordinary bus fare will be raised from 60 paise per km to 64 per km and express bus category bus fare will be raised from 64 paise to 67 paise per km.

Similarly, the deluxe bus fare has been increased 89 paise from 84 paise and AC deluxe fare increased to Rs 1.11 from the existing Rs 1.05 paise.
