PM Modi addresses at Valedictory Function of Vigilance Awareness Week

vigilance-awareness-week-modiThe Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday attended the Valedictory Function of Vigilance Awareness Week 2016 in New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Modi said technology has a major role to play in bringing in transparency, and curbing corruption.

The Prime Minister also said that the State has to be policy driven. While, making laws and policies, it is essential to have a broad range of inputs.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Vigilance Commissioner Shri KV Chowdary advised the private sector to adopt an ethics code to address the problem. He said the Central Vigilance Comission (CVC) has undertaken a study to formulate a Corruption Index of 25 Public Sector Undertakings.

MoS PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh, Cabinet Secretary Shri PK Sinha and Additional Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Dr. PK Mishra were also present on the occasion.
