PM Modi attends 14th ASEAN-India Summit & 11th East Asia Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday attended the 14th ASEAN-India Summit and 11th East Asia Summit at Vientiane, Lao PDR.

Addressing the ASEAN summit Prime Minister Modi said, export of terror, radicalization & spread of extreme violence are common security threats to our societies.

Modi invites ASEAN as Guest of Honour for the International Buddhist Conclave going to be held at Sarnath starting from October 2 to 4.

PM proposes Joint Task Force on connectivity to work on extension of India-Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highway to Cambodia, Laos & Vietnam.

On the sidelines of the 14th ASEAN-India Summit, the Prime Minister met the President of South Korea, Ms. Park Geun-hye, Prime Minister of Lao PDR, Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Japan PM AbeShinzo, State Counsellor of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi and other leaders.
