Naveen Patnaik’s Corona Virus review meeting in Odisha

Post CM Naveen Patnaik’s announcement of lockdown extension, the BJD supremo held a review meeting on 15th April. Naveen Patnaik assigned a series of task, expressed his gratitude for services of several front line workers and directed to implement the several plans.

Minutes of the meeting:

  • -To set up Odisha COVID Hospitals in every district by next week. The new establishment will add 36 COVID-19 hospitals with a combined bed capacity of 6000.
  • -Patnaik directed to commence testing at VIMSAR, Burla in two days.
  • -Patnaik expressed happiness over the commencement of testing at MKCG MCH and IGH, Rourkela.
  • -He applauded health professionals, sanitation workers, police and public servants for their effort to contain the pandemic.
  • -He praised the people of Odisha for their wholehearted support for the lockdown.
  • -Patnaik directed the police to ensure that the movement of essential and non-essential commodities should not be stopped and the flow of agricultural products continue.
  • -CM instructed to ensure proper training to officials involved in containment of COVID-19. So far, 1.5 lakh officials have been trained at a different level.
