Odisha asks Private Hospitals to Reserve 50 pc beds for COVID-19

As the COVID-19 cases continue to surge in Odisha, the state government has asked the private hospitals to reserve 50 per cent beds for COVID-19 patients.

The rising number of cases have left the dedicated COVID hospitals out of beds.

Private hospitals with more than 30 beds in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Rourkela have been asked to reserve 50 per cent of beds for COVID-19 patients. The hospitals have also been asked to dedicate 80 per cent ICU beds.

The Hospitals have also been strictly warned against overcharging the patients.
