Odisha to conduct 5,000 coronavirus test in the next week

Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy stated that the Odisha government has planned to conduct tests on about 5,000 samples in hotspot Bhubaneswar in the next 7 days.

46 out of the 60 COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha are reported from Bhubaneswar and the maximum cases have been reported from Bohmikal area. The Bomikhal area is declared as a containment zone.

Chief Secretary Tripathy announced that samples will be collected and stocked-up on a four-tier priority ground from people who are at risk because of the highly infectious pandemic.

“Odisha government has decided to conduct 5,000 tests during the next seven days in Bhubaneswar. There are 60 positive cases of coronavirus in the state as of now with no new cases reported in the last two days,” said the chief secretary
