Odisha government is equipping the state in full-swing to build infrastructure and services to deal with COVID-19 situation. To increase the inventory of medical equipment, the Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd (OSMCL) has placed orders for procurement of the following:
- 15.7 lakh personal protection equipment (PPE)
- 2.2 crore triple-layer masks
- 7.5 lakh N95 masks
- 1.7 crore nose clip adaptable masks
On 9th April Thursday, the corporation had acquired 15 ventilators, 20,000 triple-layer masks and 4,000 test kits. All the supplies were airlifted from Mumbai. Further, the corporation will acquire the rest of the consignments in instalment over the next two months.
